SBC Linear Co, Ltd, based in Seoul, South Korea, is one of Asia's largest manufacturers of linear motion components and systems, specialising in linear motion solutions since 1995. The company develops and produces ball and roller rail guides, key components for industrial automation, as well as patented high-precision ball screws and transport guides for robots, the technology of which is only available in five countries worldwide.
SBC Linear was founded in 1989 as a manufacturing import company. At that time, only German and Japanese companies manufactured linear motion systems needed for production automation. Korea was dependent on importing these technologies from abroad, so localising the production of linear systems became increasingly important. Although no one ventured into manufacturing these systems, SBC Linear began the endeavour in 1993 to promote national development and reduce costs for local companies. In 1996, SBC Linear successfully completed localisation, becoming the first localisation company in the history of Korean industry. SBC Linear has continuously developed innovative and outstanding products to take a leading position in the global market.
The company is widely recognised in the industry for producing a high-precision alternative to expensive ground ball screws using the exclusive PSF Technology™ developed in Germany. This technology enables the company to produce rolled ball screws with the same precision and performance as high-precision ground screws, but without the exorbitant costs of grinding processes.
Today, SBC Linear Co, Ltd. exports its products to 35 countries on four continents, including 17 countries in Europe, 8 countries in Asia, 4 countries in the Americas and 2 countries in the Pacific Rim.
