Self-Aligning Spherical Roller Bearings
Rolling Bearings
Radial spherical roller bearings have two rows of rollers, two suitable raceways on the inner ring and a common spherical raceway on the outer ring, which enables the inner ring to be pivoted. For this reason, spherical roller bearings can accommodate large misalignments. In addition to very high radial loads, this bearing construction also enables axial loads to be absorbed. Spherical roller bearings are designed for severe operating conditions with shocks and vibrations such as: crushers, vibrating screens, conveyor systems, vibration machines, etc.
Cages are made of polyamide, sheet steel or solid brass, depending on the type.
In addition to the open design, spherical roller bearings with seals or with innovative sheet metal washers (Z washers) are also available. The special feature of these bearings is the same width as the open type, despite the additional stable protective screens.
Versions with a tapered bore are installed using adapter and withdrawal sleeves.
Axial Spherical Roller Bearings
Axial spherical roller bearings are single-row, have solid shaft and housing washers, a large number of asymmetrical rollers, appropriately designed raceways and can be dismantled.
The bearings are adjustable in angle, thus compensate for misalignments and are suitable for high load ratings at relatively high speeds.
