Tapered Roller Bearings
Rolling Bearings
Radial tapered roller bearings have a row of rolling elements made of tapered rollers between tapered raceways in the inner and outer ring and can accommodate both large radial and large axial loads thanks to their contact angle. The outer ring is removable. The rollers and the inner ring are held together by steel cages or, in some cases, plastic.
Axial load is only absorbed in one direction. A counter bearing of the same type must be installed accordingly.
Certain sizes have a flange on the outer ring.
Paired tapered roller bearings consist of two tapered roller bearings, which usually have a spacer ring and form a bearing point. The installation is always opposite (O or X arrangement).
Axial tapered roller bearings
Axial tapered roller bearings with a space-saving design and a precise and rigid shaft guide take up very high axial loads.
They consist of shaft and housing washers, a cage-mounted roller ring and can be dismantled. Variants that act on one and both sides are available.
