Shoulder Ball Bearings
Rolling Bearings
Shoulder ball bearings have the same structure as the deep groove ball bearings, but have only one shoulder on the outer ring. The outer ring raceway changes from the bottom of the groove to the edge into a cylindrical raceway. For this reason, a shoulder ball bearing can be dismantled and needs a second bearing to counteract it or must be axially preloaded accordingly via the shaft.
Shoulder ball bearings are suitable for lower loads in radial and one-sided axial directions.
