Rod Ends, Spherical Plain Bearings
Rod Ends Units
A rod end is a standardized, ready-to-install bearing unit consisting of a housing with a threaded shaft and a spherical plain bearing installed or pressed into it.
Rod ends are available with internal or external, right or left hand threads.
Depending on the design combination of the housing and the bearing, rod ends perform a wide variety of functions. They are mainly used as linkage and lever connections, where they transmit static and dynamic loads and carry out rotating, tilting and swiveling movements.
There are also metric and imperial, maintenance-free and maintenance-requiring versions.
In addition to standard steel types, rod ends in stainless steel, aluminum, plastic and with various coatings are available.
