Bearing housings
Plummer Block Housings, Flanged Housings
Bearing housings are made of gray, steel or nodular cast iron and, together with the associated roller bearings and sealing elements, form a multitude of bearing units for particularly high loads.
They are designed for both continuous shafts and shaft ends.
The design of the bearing housings allows the installation of rolling bearings with different diameters and widths that can be moved in the housing. Mostly they are self-aligning ball bearings, spherical roller bearings and barrel roller bearings.
By inserting locating rings, fixed bearings are obtained from the floating bearings.
Bearings with cylindrical inner rings sit directly on the shaft, those with conical ones are fastened with an adapter sleeve.
Sealing variants include:
- Double lip seal
- Felt strip seal
- V-ring seal
- Labyrinth seal
- Taconite seal
as well as end covers for one-sided locking, which fit into the ring grooves on both sides of the housing.
In addition to the split and undivided plummer block housings, flanged housings and multiple bearing housings are available.
